Yeah, interesting stuff!!! Ever heard 'Chicago Stomps'? It's a 1920's Jimmy Blythe recording. Some people think this was the inspiration for Big Maceo's 'Chicago Breakdown'.

hello, this song reminds me strongly of "Chicago Breakdown" by Maceo Merriweather. I have here a version of Vince Weber, and some parts of the playing duo here are copied from that song....Would you explain that please?

There were several "breakdown" boogies. Big Maceo's Chicago Breakdown was the best known, and is the main inspiration for the first half of this piece. The second half is original.
