On February 5, 2012 Father Sammie Maletta delivered a Homily at St. John the Evangelist Parish in St. John, Indiana. This Homily addressed how President Obama is threatening our Religious Freedom and declaring war with the Catholic Church. Please take a few moments to listen. No one sums it up quite like Father Maletta. Go to http://bit.ly/zPdgpw to fight the HHS Mandate.

Jesus never forced anyone to be charitable. Socialism is a way to force people to take care of others. It takes away our basic freedoms.

Well, that is seen as a minor offense, and we shouldn't even involve the local secular authorities. This is, from the words I have heard from most of the hierarchy, a minor offense, and they should be forgiven and brought back into ministry (but don't warn any of the parents of the children in this new parish.)

It is this attitude -- especially the hypocrisy, which has people leaving the Church in droves. And there was someone else I know who was very strong in condemning hypocrisy.

Socialism is an extreme form of the norm. The norm is a mixture of individual liberties and collective comformities. Socialism would collectivize everything, rendering even the tools one uses in one's work be given up to the nearest complainer about how shiney it is and how dull and rusty his is. The ten commandments of jesus balance individual prerogatives with collective duties in ten examples. You're right, in other words. But I thought I'd put my two cents in. Obama needs to burn in hell.

The Catholic Church is an organization among the top perpetrators of murder and human rights violations throughout its history. . . and is blasphemously done in the name of God! Yet, they worry about abortions and homosexuality?. . . YEAH RIGHT!

You truly missed Fr Maletta point. He is arguing that Obama is rewarding NGOs that do not perform as the Catholic church does. Lets not forget separation of Church and state. The government has no business dictation conscience to any religious group. If Obama was a true Christian, (which hes not) he would not have opened the flood gate of money to pro-murder NGOs throughout the world on his 3rd day in office by lifting the ban on the Mexico city policy. Who speaks for those children? Not Obama.

"We don't want people to wear condoms or marry the same sex or have abortions." "But if you make me pay for contraceptive that's just way too far."

@b33m33 Until the government conforms to GOD'S STANDARDS then your comments are meanlingless. The greatest "business" that the Church conducts is SAVING SOULS. I suggest you read the encylicals that condemn socialism and then you may be enlightened to a deeper understanding of why it is evil.
