Thank you so much for the detailed explanation. I found this pattern to work the best of all the covers I've seen. The left foot on the down beats works perfectly with the cowbell.

Joe, do have any written notes on the "rock-samba?" I can see what the the left and right feet are doing. They appear to moving in synch. I can see what your left hand is doing. Just can't figure out the cymbal/bell action

@arlo4823: The hand sticking is: RLRL RRLR LRRL RRLT So, it's single and double strokes alternating between hands (linear), except for the last 16th note when the hand sticking is played Together. The right hand stays on the cym/bell all the time. I've gotten lazy with the feet. Ideally, the right foot should be playing a dotted 16th samba pattern. When played slowly, you can play the left foot on the upbeats. At faster tempos (like here), I play the left foot on the downbeats. Have fun!

@superbrian113: yessir. When you need more cowbell, nothing works like the left foot! ;)

Thanks. I thought that people wouldn't watch 5 minutes of just me playing the drums and not being able to see the rest of the band, so I went right to "the big finish". If I can find the entire clip,or another one like it, I'll post it.
