I live about 30 minutes away from this whole scene and it is frightening, but I just hope Kara's family and friends will have closure one day and know what happened to her.

@1225pong I agree. I watched many of these programs and came to realize that we as parents really have to monitor our kids and set clear boundary with teens. Setting boundaries might crate some confrontation in the begging but in the end, it shows our real love to children.

as a parent you don't encourage a teenager to do something you know is not right, I've heard Kara's mother using excuses again and again over Kara's smoking habit & skipping classes etc. It's like she's approved with that kind of behavior. When a parent makes it a big deal over skipping classes (or anything a kid shouldn't do) since they were little, mostly likely kids would turn out & understand parents are SERIOUS over these issues.

@JadeFroggy i didnt mean what i said to be a criticism of Kara's mother or her parenting skills, when dealing with a teenage daughter im sure you have to be somewhat flexible & pick your battles.
