Welcome aboard the HMS Belfast on the River Thames in London to see and hear about the last consignment of old British Royal Navy Rum, recently re-blended and bottled after 4 decades in storage.

It was July 31, 1970 that sailors received their last daily ration (tot) of grog (rum and water). This solemn occasion has come to be remembered as Black Tot Day.

Meet the sailors of the HMS Belfast, learn about the traditions of the Royal Navy and their rum, about the blending of rums from disparate territories to create Navy Rum.

Spirits expert Dave Broom has written the book on Black Tot rum and here provides background and tasting notes on the noble spirit in the context of this retired war ship.

Black Tot Rum is a very limited offering for rum enthusiasts and collectors. When the last drop of the last remaining British Royal Navy Rum is gone, it's gone forever.
