  • when you think of SUPERMAN, there's only one person in your mind.. Christopher Reeve.

  • Chris Reeve was awesome. His salary for Superman was only $250,000. Brando got a few million for 5 days work.

Chris stayed on an extra year to film the flying shots, i mean this guy had so much endurance he simply made the motion picture come to life and be Superman.

He is a big influence and will continue to be an iconic figure in generations to come.

    Me too.

  • i was inlove with him as a child:)

  • He is always my Superman.

  • Would love to see a hi-def version of this :)

  • Christopher Reeve didn't just play a hero, he WAS a hero. He suffered from health problems for a long time before, during and after the films. Even after his accident he kept on going. The man was and always will be a hero. I think that there will never be another like him. R.I.P.

  • i miss him

  • I do agree Reeve is the best Superman, but Brandon Routh in Superman Returns did a good job playing Superman, despite how bad the film was, and Tom Welling in Smallville did a awesome job, I thought he would of been a good choice for Man of Steel (2013), but I do have my doubts about the new guy in Man of Steel

  • christopher reeve is the best superman so far by a mile. brandon routh had the misfortune off staring in a very boring film that portrayed him in a sad light where his biggest battle was to remove an island. let him fight something, travel to another planet and no more luther land deals.

  • @Mrspikeprime Well, the best Superman period is always a matter of opinion. Personally I do think Christopher Reeve is the best Superman to be on screen. Gene Hackman's Luthor, well...again the character was a product of the time. Hackman clearly saw it as a goofy kids role. Look up the 1960s Batman TV show, that's the mentality people had about superheroes up till 1978, it was all just ridiculous kids stuff. Today it can still be thought of as kiddie, but it's a much more respected medium.
