  • hes good he just doesn't know how to teach

  • well i am totally new to the snare and ill watch anyone who knows how to play it :) ive got a snare like the one in this vid but i dont have those awsome looking sticks, i have basic ones for starters.....nice vid.....

  • Nice sticks

  • Why do 'know-it-alls' insist on watching BEGINNER and BASIC tutorial videos and then comment that they know better. You just can't help yourselves can you? It's quite pathetic really...

  • these comments on here are funny

  • your rolls were uneven. you're teaching these kids incorrectly.

  • i think im actually doing this right!!!

  • Raise your drum, your left hand should be almost level with the rim of your drum, and your arms shouldn't stretch your arms to reach a too low drum...

  • Start with your beads down.

  • @tjd8705 It's all about conservation of energy! He's distributing the effort throughout different muscles as he speeds up. I will say that he needs improvement. His diddles are a bit crunched when going faster. You can hear the separation between hands. I would attribute that to using his fingers too much.

  • When he says, "they will just be defined by the tempo," he's not really talking about the double stroke roll. He's talking about the different muscles you use. In other words, "[the different muscles you use] will just be defined by the tempo."

The paradoxical concept with double strokes is that you do start using biceps (in conjunction with the rebound and some finger muscles) when you play faster. He proves it when he's playing faster. You see his forearms going up and down.

  • @tjd8705 I havent heard Marco Minnemann complaining. Future strain or not, his hand technique is still good

  • @antibulletdodger101 It's bad technique and creates tension, maybe not initially, but after a while of playing. His shoulder will start to ache. Drumming is very much about conservation of energy. The more you conserve (relaxing muscles that don't need to be used) the more efficient your drumming will be.

  • Really really dirty!!! No bueno man

  • @gcharocks why should he move his elbow in when its obviously working...

  • how do u get on expertvillage anyway i should submit a video

  • He needs to move his elbow in. How do you even play with it out so far like that?

  • oops an expertvillage video

  • ya some expert expertvillage is.... NOT

  • Dude... Watch your free hand bro -_-

  • @snxpers lol no but i know what im talking about

  • @snxpers he sucks.fyi im snare at my school first year marching and i made snarline. hmm think about that?
