The rumor about this southern city has been spread not without reason -
Such cities are rare in the world!
When walking along the Deribasovskaya Sreet and sunny boulevards,
I have no desire to leave this city.


The last hydrofoil boat has sailed away from the shore,
The sea is covered with rest and paradise.
The Potemkin Staircase is the eighth miracle of the world
But maybe even the ninth one -- I cannot claim this.


To walk along this staircase is not easy,
I am counting step by step as usual.
But my thoughts become distracted; I lose count of the steps,
The rushing years seem like the rungs to me.

Fabulous to hear Vitas' song, and see the staircase, with clips from the film, and how it has been through the years! By coincidence, I saw the film for the first time last night!! Also thanks for the lyrics. A truly wonderful video.
