  • yep.

  • I have only been able to find lobby cards, some stills and lantern slides from her films. I'm sure they exist somewhere in a barn in a trunk but even Kevin Brownlow, the British film historian, has not located any films. He was hoping I might but so far, no luck.

  • Is this a Scott Joplin rag?

  • Yes, it's called Pleasant Moments.

  • Exactly! That was the picture I was intrigued by. Thanks for helping me locate it.

By the way, there is a book by Lily Tuck I would recommend if you haven't read it yet: "The News from Paraguay." It's about Eliza Lynch, the so called "Paraguayan Evita..." This woman also had a fascinating life. You may be interested in checking it out.

Thanks again for your prompt response!!!

  • thanks for that as well. I'm always looking for good reads. By the way, love your name. Mine is a palindrome, and if my parents had only named me Eve, both of my nams would have been one.

I'm wondering the name of this song.

    Thanx n.n

  • That's one beautiful gal right there.

  • Well it's exquisite. I've probably heard it before but just didn't remember it. He wrote so many rags.

Are there any very early motion pictures of Evelyn Nesbit surviving still? In an archive somewhere? I know she made some silents. The IMDb mentions 11 or 12 titles for her.

  • I will be looking out for this book. The last shot in the video, the cover. What a great photo! It has to be 1o5 years old yet it looks like it could have been taken by Liebowitz last week! She is a timeless beauty.
