I understand you might want to just throw this together, but where's your sense of craftsmanship?

I assume you don't do other projects with this half-assed approach. Maybe I assume too much. I know if I was making a video of my handy work, I wouldn't be satisfied with, "Eh, looks like crap, but whatever." I'd want it to be pretty.

this might be an interesting conspet if first it was done with somebody who knows how to use tools and second if some gears, springs, an electric motor and a capacitor was added to make it wind up powered

I almost never dislike a video, but your half-assed approach to make a gift for your "friend" really left me with a bad taste in my mouth.... I would've taken the time to put together a project that's not only functional but attractive to the eye so that my friend can be reminded of how much his or her companion and affection mean to me...
