Just a quick video to show the sound of a Takamine AN10. Lovely guitar, sold in a moment of weakness. I found it almost too loud/smooth/bassy compared to a Tak N10 I had before, the laminate back/sides Taks seem to sound better strummed to my ear than the all solid AN10, weird huh... Now I have a EAN 10 (laminate sides) with all the electrics removed and its just the ticket. Great raw sounding strummer/picker. This AN10 will probably sound just as good in 10 years, hopefully the new owner loves it.

  • Does it come with electronics?

  • @novanine9 No, it's pure acoustic. The semi acoustic versions are the EAN10 (laminate sides, solid back) and the EN10 laminate back and sides. The AN10 is all solid by the way.

  • I agree, they are great. Taks are superb workhorses and the older they get the better they sound :)

  • I like your little jam here. What chords are those? It's beautiful. It sounds like your using a lower tuning? Anyway, I think I am going to buy one of these. Thank you.

  • @kbley Hi, sorry I don't know the chords, it was DADGAD but tuned right down (maybe B?). I didn't have a tuner at the time, so have no idea what note it was. Basically its DADGAD formation. Lovely guitars. The AN15 is also superb. AN10 is bassier.

  • Could I ask what gauge strings you've used for this recording and do you use a stereo mic pair? This sounds fantastic to me I don't quite understand the complain, great playing by the way...

  • @snipperacoustics Hi, just a Sony SR11 video camera with built in stereo mic. Strings are Fender Duratone 56-13 coated strings. I prefer 52-11s now, the 56 are louder but hard to play/bend notes and after a few years will probably make the top belly.

  • Lovely jammin', and particularly so because of your DADGAD tuning. As an EAN10C owner , I was'nt aware an AN10 was available. Sounded just beautiful.

  • i cant get over how good this sounds

  • @peacepedaler Its just sharp of C# actually man. =)

  • I've had my Takamine AN 10 for almost 8 years. Everyone tells me it's a sweet sounding guitar. Love it to bits!
