It was interesting to see the video responses to this. Basically proving your point. I watched Paul @ The Experiate Channel and Amber, both who had value to add to the original post which of course made it an interesting conversation. Spot on Chris. Thanks.

Chris you are quite right...being a multi-specialist and having been following the wave of new media, I have seen the potential of everything becoming super interaction also in bits. When you described media coming in all together as one, recent examples for that is the Facebook new messaging system that is soon to arrive, Google Wave and multiple others. Also in the world of video games, as you buy a game and then have to buy upgraded packs. @jixifox @rawmultimedia

I don't disagree with much of what you've said, but I think mainstream media's bigger issue is the decreasing size of newsrooms. They're increasingly relying on wire copy.

I worked as a reporter and there were never enough reporters to be able to cover the stories which needed covering. Investigative journalism is disappearing in so many newsrooms at a time when we need it most.

All the add-ons are great, but society needs more journalists doing what reporters do: uncovering stories.

"Choose your Own Adventure" or Mad Libs-like interactiveness would be particularly interesting in terms of Rich Data. That would be amazing to see and experience should that develop. I'm curious how these points, would affect our relationships or develop new ones. As our consumption or creation of this future media moves even closer towards 'real-time', how does it affect our accessibility, privacy etc. The potential to interact with others is nothing short of amazing!

Chris, I'm intrigued by your insight and predictions. As the future of media develops it makes sense that your points would come to pass. I'm left to wonder and possibly develop ways in which other industries utilize media and technology. For instance, how could the future of media (and what you predict) effectively benefit health care. From both the provider and patient perspectives, information could flow more quickly and effectively for example. Pt teaching could be on Demand and interactive
