"I loved this book and now want to go back to read the first two stories. Kendra and her friends are engaging characters, at once humorous (in a Pippi Longstocking kind of way) yet also "real." There is just enough mystery to engage young audiences, but it is neither scary nor gory. I particularly loved how the author spoke to the reader, asking him/her to draw on their own experiences to connect with Kendra."
