Featuring the Netroots Nation 2010 Immigration Checkpoint mock ICE action.

In reference to the nightmare that SB 1070 represents, a group of friends and myself staged a mock immigration checkpoint where we racially profiled European immigrants and their descendants, and required them to show papers that proved they had a right to trespass on native land. Some were puzzled, many laughed, and a couple were furious. What made the difference in these reactions? And how would the most upset of these people feel were they to experience for even one day the true threat of being under the glare of anti-immigrant hostility and anti-Latino hate in the USA today?

@nezua on the east coast there are alot of illeal aliens from Europe.I know at least 20 Polish people who are here illegally.There are also alot Of Irish illegals in the USA.People just focus on the Hispanic ones. by the way i live in west coast.fact Actually the border of Mexico once went up as far north as Oregon and as far east as Colorado. Well spoken! Let´s also remember age inequality, lets not forget that children still are the most inequally treated and the most vulnerable of all human entities.

The unprivileged have to speak up, and the privileged have to listen and be willing to see the inequality, before True Equality can ever be possible. Til then it is just a battlefield where one or the other is always on top. Work towards global equality, evaluate your true needs for a good life, avoid resourse overusing!

Just need to add that white privilege is not fairly distributed.

Sex and Class play a major role in how much of that privilege you are granted if your parents are of European descent.

It is eye opening for sure to see how far the privilege can take you especially outside of the Western world.

It is up to the privileged to not take advantage of the unjust system.

The "agreement" was between Two governments! The land was stolen from The people! Imagine the U.S decides to give up the state where you live. or where you have lived all your life.
