  • AMAZING.SMOOTH.MAGICAL !

  • @onlyjaz GWJ was a class act, all the way. Miss the brother..........

  • Never forget how electric it was for Grover and his audience that evening in Austin, TX at La Zona Rosa. He said,"Austin, you guys really know how to party!, "I'll be back!" Of course, he passed away a year later. Being a sax player, had him sign my Winelight CD. He wrote "Manny-keep playing my sax-playing Brotha!" Still playing too!

  • Of all the jazz sets I have attended, nobody ever gave me my money's worth like Grover! No other athlete had/has a flat out jazz hit that is dedicated to him by such an icon! Two of my all time faves in their chosen fields. The only thing that may have made this vid better is showing The Doc giving Bird and Michael Cooper the business!

  • It's amazing that Grover could capture the gracefulness of Julius Erving PERFECTLY...

  • I so miss his sound..... !!!!

great Dr. J. footage at the beginnig. Brother Grover truly captured the fluidity of his game with this song!!!

  • ESTA CANCION ME TRAE GRANDES RECUERDOS DE DR. J.JUST GREAT

  • Many thanks! I've been asking about this title for ages, been driving me up the wall since

    the song is so familiar.

  • @sportshistorybuff The title of the song is It's Your Thing orginally written and performed by The Isley Brothers. Of course it has been covered by many artists...not sure which artists is playing it in the particular video you're referring.

  • The complete Greatest Sports Legends episode with Dr. J and this song is on Youtube. Can any jazz/soul expert look at it and answer a question of mine? The song played over the final credits, as the Doctor and host Ken Howard are shooting hoops is a different song, very popular theme heard in movies, TV, restaurants. It sounds like Washington's music, but I cannot connect it to any song of hs, or Quincy Jones. Most people will recognize it immediately but

I want to tknow the artist/title.
