All fine and dandy for a TV show--and it's brillaint--but for an action-packed big-budget movie, it's probably better to stick with one or two planets (i.e. Wrath of Khan) so as not to clog up the setting. Besides, we do see glimpses of planets other than Earth in the trailers.
