The sound of a 36 litre DB605 engine is outstanding! Merlins , Griffons and other V12 engines makes great music to, but a 605 beats them all. Great video!

Adolf Galland once said that crashes on landing the Bf series killed more of his experienced pilots that the enemy did. I wonder if thats true?
-
@TtimWh Of course. My mistake. Thanks for the info!

@marvelmax03191 oh ok, i see what you mean, but those are infact called 'Balkenkreuz' or beam cross. They look a bit different to the iron cross originally used by Imperial Germany.
-
@TtimWh Yes there are. On the wings and the fuselage.
-
wow, what a beautiful machine, I hope these awsome birds keep flying for ever.
-
@marvelmax03191 I dont see how it looks sinister? and theres no iron cross on there anyway.
-
there's something so sinister looking about the Iron Cross on an Me-109...

@simonsrd100 This 109 in the Video has a DB605 - Daimler Benz 605 engine. It is not a Merlin . This Plane is based on a spanish buchon (the spanisch Messerschmitt 109 with Merlin or Hispano Aviacion HA-1112 ), but it was rebuild . So now it is technical the same like the german Bf 109 . ;)
