Let me guess you put a 9mm Glock magazine in your Glock .40?

@BleedingBullets4U AK's I'm conviced will shoot rocks so steel doesn't bother them one bit. Ak's have a very beefy, deep and pronounced extractor ans that's probably why they don't have the same issue. Glock's are the same I haven't found much mine won't shoot and that includes 9mm in a 40s&w Ask me how I know. It doesn't cycle but it will send it down the barrel.

I have a AK and still hear range owners curse at me (S.O.B.) under their breath when they see me using steel case ammo. And it is because they can not resale it to a reloading company. And they feel you are ripping them off. As the price of brass continues to go up and up you will be buying more steel case ammo are stay home and don't shoot. Steel cases have come a long way. Glocks were notorious for not feeding steel cases. Tula makes it's steel case ammo specifically to function with Glocks.

I have 2 ARs from BCM. They make one of the best ARs in the market.

as of 2-23-12 I have approx 8000 rnds through my BCM 14.5 barrel and carbine length gas tube. Over 6000 of those rnds have been steel cased. The brand is monarch 55gr 223rem (it's really made by the company barnaul. I've never had a single malfunction with it. The rest of the ammo has been federal ar223 brass (the one in the black box). I've had malfunctions twice with the brass. The bcg I'm using in the upper is a daniel defense. It claims to have an extractor booster.

@85mackey1 I too have shot many thousands of rounds of steel without any problem but after speaking with the range master that I started digging and from what I found he was right I then contacted and expert on AR's and he confirmed it. Then on an unrelated search I ended up on CMMG's web sight and they had a big disclaimer about it so I figured it's better safe than sorry and the upgrade was cheap.

Steel case ammo has come a long way. It is not the same as the old Soviet Era stuff at all. And 15 to 20 years ago Glocks were ripping the those steel casings to pieces. Now the steel cases work great.

@BleedingBullets4U I have never had a problem with steel I guess I'm lucky but I also keep my guns very clean. The problem with the old stuff was corrosive primers and if you didn't clean your gun it would ruin it in short order
