VIDEO + PHOTOS of MALE AMERICAN GOLDFINCH:
I was standing in front of the house testing a new Fujifilm Finepix S1000fd Digital Camera when a pair of Goldfinches came to feed on my sunflowers. I froze and quickly pressed the record button. What timing!

NOTE RE THE CAMERA:
The Fujifilm Finepix S1000fd is okay but I returned it to try out the CANON POWERSHOT S5 IS (am not so thrilled with that one either -- it takes GREAT video tho...in stereo!!!).

  • Hey i love your pics!!! how you blur the backround?? ?

  • @miss9723:

I had the camera in macro (close-up for flowers and such) mode which makes the background blurry because the camera focuses only what's right in front of the lens not what's farther away.

  • @miss9723: P.S.: Thanks for the compliment! :>)

  • This clip is better than those of the National Geographic

  • @pariapsara: Thank you so very much for that nice comment! :>)

  • BEAUTIFUL!!

  • Thank you! Wish I could have figured out how to add a sample of their song to the photo portion...

  • Great! They look a lot like my sunflowers. We have woodpeckers eating our seeds. Cheers!
