Hey, Kyoko. How about talking to your teacher first and seeing if s/he thinks it might be possible. If so, s/he can call a meeting with your parents and you can explore the idea together. From there, you might be referred to a psychologist or psychometrist and your teacher and parents would be asked to fill out a survey to determine if ADHD is the diagnosis or not. Depending on your age, you might be asked to fill out a survey too. Let us know how it goes. Good luck.

... for some. If medication is a route you take, be sure you're being closely monitored by your doctor. Some ADHD meds can have such surprising side effects and it's so individual to the person as to what helps, what hinders and what may produce undesired side effects.

my mum & dad found out I had ADHD when I was about 3 years old. I have then been living all my life getting bullied about the way I behave. This is the helping even more so I can show people the way I behave :D

@coontailz7 in the end you are the only person who needs to understand you. Learn all you can about your interests and be confident in knowing who you really are and you'll begin to watch how nothing and no one will ever bring you down or make you feel misunderstood again. Ultimately, my friend, you are different...& that's great! It also means that what's right for the majority isn't right for you. Don't be afraid to think and do outside the box bcuz that is what's right for you to be You.

what Cordilia describes is brilliance & gifted thinking. The very definition of the majority of words that make up Attention Deficit Hyperatice Disorder make these kids sound like freakin' retards. I have no idea what being labeled w/ this name is suppose to do for their self esteem. I've had it w/ people telling these kids to be like someone else or be drugged. There are an estimated 12million ADHD kids in the US...how about we teach them like they learn instead of drugging their individuality?

I have ADHD, my friend has ADHD, some of his friends have ADHD. But we don't whine saying omg its so hard to live with adhd. We deal with it, because we aren't pussies.

i liked this video a lot. i could quickly compare myself to the colorful museum adn the concrete desk and paper. this video was really good and um, yea it was awesome. i feel that it has explained a lot about how some people think. that is exactly how i look at things and people just dont understand certain stuffs. im sure if i showed people this video they would understand perfectly :)
