Emma Stone and Viola Davis head up a star-studded cast in "The Help," based on the international best-selling novel. Set in Mississippi during the 1960s, a southern society girl returns from college determined to become a writer, but turns her friends' lives—and a small Mississippi town—upside down when she decides to interview the African American women who have spent their lives taking care of prominent southern families.

Bonnie Laufer from http://www.Tribute.ca spoke with Emma and Viola about the mass appeal of the book, getting that Mississippi accent just right and how working on the film changed them.

  • Viola Davis is just so amazing. She made me cry so much in this. Just brilliant. One of my favorite actresses no doubt.

  • this movie is amazing because it shattered ignorance to me and is a reminder of what has been, hopefully changing peoples attitudes towards others, and reminding others of the freedoms we have now others worked hard for us to have now, for everyone

  • how lovely viola davis looks here (:

  • This movie is so sad:( I really don't know why they came out with this movie though we already know how it was back in the day This movie is just going to bring people to look at african americans differently again. So im upset they made this movie it's good but I don't think african americans are going to really want to watch it. I couldn't even stand to watch some harsh parts in the movie and I'm not even african american!

  • I have been a fan of Viola since I saw her in an episode of Without a Trace. Im like a proud fan to see how far she has come.

  • @TrinityGal71 People still own dictionaries? I thought everyone just looked stuff up online these days.

Also, find me that book with my picture next to it please. I'll play you any amount of money if you do. In the meantime, please come up with a more original insult than yours from the 1980's.

  • @SteveJawbs LOL! You're so Fucking stupid. I bet when we look up the word ' retard' in the dictionary, your picture is right beside it.

  • Octavia and Viola are both* very* very* protective of Emma... They both state in a few interviews how protective they are of her cause they know how good she really is they know she is the real deal.

  • @SteveJawbs you are a sick human being, on a brighter note, loved the movie and book
