  • I didn't enter the UM Symphony Band til the Fall of "69, but performed this at Cass Tech H.S. in Detroit,MI under the direction of Harold Arnoldi. I am in the "72 photo as shown. I wonder how maany of my bandmates were on this recording. Who was 1st clarinet on the recording?

  • We played this at Cass Tech in 64 and Revelli said it was the best he had heard. I wonder if any of my band mates are in this 67 version?? Revelli took a much more angular approach and a brisker opening tempo. I love it! I definitely did not have as much vibrato on the cornet solos as this dude. and I thought I had a lot.

  • Just compared it with some recent performances by some other fine groups and wow it stands the test of time. I might have been in the audience for that performance. Hill Auditorium is an outstanding venue.

  • Really well played. I believe I heard this performance live in the late 60's. Even better than i remember it!

  • Thank you for sharing these with us Maestro! Outstanding!

  • I am so proud to go to Hobart High School and play in the band :)

  • Dynamic, precise, pure Revelli!
