There is no justice ever going to be found when garda brutallity is involved, my brother Eric was also a victim, of a kid which fell through the gaps of a society which does not care about working class males. I hope and pray that Justice for Terence Weelock and Eric Hopkins will be brought about. Continue fighting the cover, and never stop. B Hopkins

The president of Sinn Féin issued an instruction that any party member with knowledge of the case should come forward and co-operate with the inquiry.
In my opinion it's sad that the Wheelock family don't get the same support from the media and the political establishment that the McCartneys did, and I would have to ask why that is.
This is not to take away from the legitimacy of the McCartney family case, but there is a marked contrast in the way the two deaths have been treated.

I believe the a previous comment refers to the McCartney family, who lost a family member in a pub fight, which may have involved members of Sinn Féin, two and a half years ago. The party has urged all members and supporters to support the McCartney family's in their quest for justice, and the sisters attended the Sinn Féin party conference where they received a standing ovation from the assembled delegates.

The protest was not organised by Sinn Féin, it was organised by the Wheelock family, who invited Mary Lou McDonald to speak.
Mary Lou has attended previous demonstrations and has supported the campaign from day one.
