  • There is a time when the operation of the machine becomes so odious, makes you so sick at heart, that you can't take part; you can't even passively take part, and you've got to put your bodies upon the gears and upon the wheels, upon the levers, upon all the apparatus, and you've got to make it stop. And you've got to indicate to the people who run it, to the people who own it, that unless you're free, the machine will be prevented from working at all!"

  • Good for you, for caring about the future, still, in your old age. Not fizzling out in selfishness, but carrying the flame.

    You're an example. Thank you.

  • god bless you sir

  • @SwirlyBrokenHearts This was the beginning of the Free Speech Movement. The university was not allowing students to give out political pamphlets on campus. It later morphed into a movement against the Vietnam War, and, specifically, Reserve Officers Training Corps, on UC Berkeley Campus. There's a really great film you can see free online called Berkeley in the 60's ( I think that's the name). It has a lot more of the history of that time period.

  • i dont understand the speech, whats it mean? i heard it in linkin park song

  • @JusticeServed44 no shit genius, if you watched the video before commenting you would know that he's only talking about Mario Savio.

  • He died in 1996 at age 54; I doubt this is him.

  • I love my elders, thank you to the poet and whoever uploaded this :-)

    Peace and blessings

  • HE'S OLD!
