  • @3mahlee This part of the movie isn't accurate. Henry states Anne's father was created Earl of Essex... when in reality he was granted the title of Earl of Wiltshire and Ormond. However, he was correct in saying Anne's brother became Viscount Rochford.

  • @sybyly I agree! I think Helena was the perfect Anne.

  • @3mahlee yes, i've met Helena and i agree she is gorgeous. Anne Boleyn must have been gorgeous somehow too, for Henry passed over all other women about his kingdom to woo her. However, by the accounts of the time, Anne was not most men's cup of tea. Likewise, Helena is never mentioned in polls of sexiest women; she is no Megan Fox or Scarlett Johanssen (thank heavens). Like Anne, Helena knows how to work her particular and subtle (i.e. unobvious) beauty, for those with senses attuned to it.

  • All of the portrayals of Henry that are accurate (he's big, broad, red-haired, bearded) are usually so ugly, but Ray Winstone is actually pretty good-looking here in the beginning. ;3

  • @sybyly Helena Bonham Carter is hardly 'less than beautiful' and/or 'plain', lol. That woman is the most gorgeous creature to grace God's green Earth.

  • i didnt know helena had played anne boleyn. she may be the most appropriate anne i've seen. anne was said to be less than beautiful, even 'plain', but knew how to work what she had, especially thru the eyes.

  • @MsNiki7777777 Henry VIII had 6 wives only one of which actually died of natural causes before he moved on to the next. He made himself into a soap opera long before the movies got a hold of him.

  • OMG this whole series is as cheezy as a soap opera made for Americans...well done, Ray & Helena, I hope you raked it in!

  • It cracks me up at 8:56 when Henry VIII starts running and the guards run after him.lol!

Guess they had no choice huh?

  • so cute
