@atlanticus well, a monohull carrying that much sail would; a monohull could sail those conditions too, they would just have less sail up.

@Funmonger not hydrofoils, it's just a racing cat with high buoyancy, it'll be higher out of the water than one loaded down with creature comforts or cruising gear
