Me and My Disabled Child - Jamie (Contact a Family)

Contact a Family called on parents to tell their story of raising a disabled child holding national competition aiming to highlight the many issues they face on a day-to-day basis.

We had an overwhelming response from parents sharing their stories and we are pleased to announce that we have picked 'Jaime' as one of our runner up prize winners!

We'd like to thank all of the entrants for taking the time to take part. The competition has now ended, but we encourage you to upload and share your video stories to our YouTube channel to help support parents in a similar situation to your own.

Jamie is very intelligent: my child's behaviour is worse than that at eight, such as breaking glass, climbing out of moving vehicles, and causing serious injury to herself and others. Jamie is a gorgeous little boy.
