I had to rely on chance sometimes in this match because it was very hard for me to see around my camera. As for doing better, again, it was hard to see the screen.

It's not so much luck, but skill. When I play, and I usually have the chance to use the Magnum, you need a robo with good speed, and coupled with the Formula feet, you can do some really nice blitzkrieg attacks. My choice usually is:

Ray MkII

Magnum

Direct Bomb

Satellite Pod H

Formula Feet

It's a really good combo, and if executed properly, you can gain combos of 400+.

Yeah... thats not really really pwnage.  My Robo Combo of:

Javelin

Flame gun

Wall bomb

satelite pod

and feet designed to increase ground speed could beat that.

The problem with the Magnum is, like you said, you had to rely on a bit of luck, and you have to be close to your enemy. And that just doenst always work in my strategy, or will get you killed cause thats what the robo you're fighitng against wants.

I wish I had discovered just how powerful the magnum was before the nintendo hard Greybaum fights. Would have made that bitch Kindjal much easier to kill. Ugh.

i like dragon gun, cuz it makes good damage and keeps enemies from hitting you. Which is best when you run up to them which is the only way to shoot em with it....
