For decades, gay men have had one natural ally: straight women. But that was before Bravo's "Real Housewives" franchise overran the airwaves like hair extensions from hell. As Bryan Safi points out in this week's "That's Gay," all six current "Real Housewives" editions feature a gay male BFF. But it's much less "Will & Grace" than "Grace Humiliates Will on National TV."

Catch "infoMania" on Fridays at 9/8c, starting May 27 on Current TV.

That's Gay is a recurring segment on the weekly television show infoMania. In each episode of That's Gay, Bryan Safi explores gay issues and stereotypes as they are portrayed by the clueless media. For more Bryan visit http://current.com/groups/thats-gay/ and Current TV.

I blame the sellouts that allow these women to perpetuate this stereotype. The moment we start correcting them, (hopefully) will be the moment they stop to think about the situation (if they are at all capable).

I don't understand how it is ANY straight woman's business whether or not her gay "accessory" ever gets married (or is legally allowed to.) In fact, she'd probably throw a fit if she wasn't invited, even though she was against it in the first place, but how DARE her gay human poodle not invite her to a PARTY!

Oh, waaaaaait, I see--Gay marriage makes it all about gay *people.* And that's not okay, because the focus is taken off straight women! Ah. Got it.

1 season is 2 Kim Kardashian marriages. So even for them, it's an accomplishment!
