im barely having transmission issues, my 5th gear wont go in it just shakes alot so i dont force it and run on 4th, if i did all this, cuz i wanna rebuild and use b16 1st 2nd 3rd gears, gsr 4th and ls 5th gears, could that fix my problem? im not sure whats wrong with my tranny yet...still researching....

This video is awesome thanks bro. I know you said 4th should be pressed because of the 4th gear with splines. DId you have it pressed or did you tap? also how are you doing all of this without a clamp or vise?

@bsivoljr i have a bench press and a puller and vise also but ive also done one by tapping it in also just be careful you'll be fine, presses just make headaches easier.

Great vid - would suggest to others that since it's apart to do the mainshaft too - It easy since nothing is pressed on. Vid @ 6:47 I agree

@tru2037 agree...this was just a rebuild of the countershaft, as i get new projects hopefully i will have one where i will have to rebuild the mainshaft, i have 2 b16 transmissions for this summer where i will be rebuiding them. so that will be another video breakdown.
