  • Houston's the best American city!

  • We had many power companies in Houston trying to turn on 2 million customers. Some had to sleep in tents after work so I applaud all the guys and gals working in Houston to get us connected. They worked their asses off! I was out of power for over 2 weeks but these people got us back up and lived in tents or cars for two weeks. You Guys ROCK!

  • @sdlaney5 We waited out the storm because of what hapend last time when everyone tried to evactuate when there was a hurricane coming. it was a few years bfore Ike. Anyways, it sounded terrible to hear the rain and wind wipping against our house, the trees creaking, and one tree even fell on our house. It was DEFINETLY an expieriance I can go on with out reliving.

  • I live in Missouri City, Texas and we were hit very hard ny this storm:(!!!!

  • h-town texas home sweet home

  • I WAS IN THIS SHIT!!

  • I'll never forget that night. It got crazy as fuck about 3 am. This had to have been shot before 1230 when all the power went out.

  • Wasnt there for the hurricane but went home 3 weeks after the fact man it was a mess, its was kinda interesting i had alot of trouble getting gas after i got within 150 miles of houston the pumps were so empty it took the pump almost half an hour to fill up my car 20 gallons, absolutely amazing what mothernature can do

  • i live in houston

  • Was not here, I thank God that I wasn't. I hauled ass to Austin like fast and was there hrm 3 weeks? Coming home was crappy and surreal but then again I was thankful, very very thankful that my home was secure considering my subdivision was torn apart, I have never seen so many roofs gone, homes destroyed, category didn't matter, Ike will never be forgotten, the eye of Ike was huge and that is why it did so much damage and the deaths, God rest their souls. I hate hurricanes, tornados, all that!

  • @pohque

Amen! I'm about 50 miles north of Houston, and saw the out-of-state power crews working on the lines. My own electricity was restored by one of those crews. They were great.
