Any law that denies American citizens unfettered access to the voting booth should be viewed with great skepticism, insists John W. Whitehead. In this week's vodcast, the constitutional attorney takes on Voter ID laws and the menace they pose to our freedoms.
I like you comments regarding the voter ID as a way toward to a national ID care, which I am against.
But what I would to prevent is illegal aliens. That is all. Good video. Take care,

"If you don't want to be 'on the grid', then don't vote." Yeah, right. Because of course the government should present the citizens with the dilemma of losing their privacy or losing their vote. Sure.

Here's some knowledge for those claiming that this is a way for the authorities to keep track of you: if you are registered to vote, THEY ALREADY HAVE YOUR INFO! They already know where you live, and what your name is, and how often you are going to the polls.
Here's a hint: this isn't being forced upon people. If you don't want to be "on the grid", then don't vote. But, with the amount of fraud cases out there, is it too much to ask that someone prove who they say they are?

Our socialist government here in Britain are trying like mad to impose id cards on us either by stealth or by coersion in getting children used to being electronic finger printed at school libaries, but that I think has been stopped, and the police would like noting better then to put everyones DNA on a data base. The road to a police state is paved with good intensions as they say.
