  • This brings back so many great musical memories to me. I first heard the album when I went to college in 1963. I was always a big fan of Richie's tenor playing and Holman's writing. "Star Eyes" is probably the best cut on the album. The album is evenly divided between the octet and Richie playing with just a rhythm section. His version of "Stella

By Starlight" is also a highlight.

  • Arrangement sounded in places like 'Birth of the cool'.

  • Fantastic arrangement of the Gene De Paul tune; from the good old days; boy there was just a feel back then; from those old shotgun studios of the 50's; (RIP) Kamuca.

  • fantastic! Many thanks!!
