Army roll your shirts! Best travel tip ever. I'm a big guy (3XL) and I was able to take 7 shirts to Europe with me. I also rolled 2 pants and still had plenty of room for a pair of size 13 shoes. I fit everything else I needed in the cracks and it all fit in one legal size carry on including a camera, a travel folder, a roll up rain poncho, medicines and a bag of toiletries.
