It's official, I prefer John Haymes Newton. Neither he nor Gerard Christopher were very good actors, but JHN still had a very Superman-like charisma about him and he was becoming noticeably better actor by the end of his first and sadly only season.

@thefloacist I agree that Dean played Clark better and Christopher Superman better but part of that wasn't Christopher's fault it was the way the writers wrote the show they wanted to make Clark silly. Christopher was also in a movie called the Aviator (I think) where he was a pilot, he also flew smallplane in real life.

In a way it made Lana the central character as superboy was replaceable reminds me of the Lone Ranger they kept the same Tonto, and I ended up liking Jay Silverheels as Tonto better than either Clayton Moore or John Hart as the Lone Ranger. Sometime after this Stacy went to Sea Quest DSV and I think some soap opera, don't know what happened to the other characters.

Sweet memories. I saw this tV show before "The Adventures of Superman" and I found this one no less impressive. Gerard Christopher was so cuttie. Stacy Haiduk was stunning as well.

I agree Nepper. John will always be Superboy to me, and he had the chemistry with the leading lady. If they kept John, the show could have lasted longer, like Dean Cain lasted many years on Superman.
