  • There's a well-restored DVD available. This here appears to be an old and worn print print.

  • This was the first Chaplin film where he did not act in, only wrote/directed.

  • I love the music of that film. And the scene, where the husband slouchs his on the couch and playing this little Saxophone - and when he cracks up himself, about the lost pearl necklace!:D

I haven't seen the movie yet, time to catch up on it..

  • where somes speak about the early revolution technic of '' meaningful shortening of action'' in cinema...therefore the ability to explain without showing anything in detail but understand by implying scenes optically in contrast.....i.e in the train,s station the departure of train dhnoted by showing in the actor,s face a rippling light

  • adolphe menjou.......well known after this film-un excellent-male role but the end of actor-carrier of years-partner of chaplin edna purviance,so young.......after years in macarthy,s years and on the antiamerican-comitee adolphe menjou acted like traitor- role face to chaplin, atributed him to pro-communism purposes.......

  • chaplin made the music for the film which is actually considered the best movie of the 20`s decade (1923), but the music seems to be a little weak for the intention of the movie....

  • No, there's a caption displayed at the start of the film explaining that he doesn't appear. Although apparently, he does have a very small cameo as a railway porter in the early part of the film

  • isn't Charlie Chaplin in the movie? :s

  • is this the REAL film?
