@spiralmetal Everyone must have insurance by 2014 or pay a fine of $695 annually unless they are a family of 4 making below $29,327 or individuals making below poverty level they qaulify for medicaid. Businesses of 50 plus must pay $2000 fine for each employee they don't cover. In this economy there will be many people who cannot afford insurance though they make a living wage above the poverty level this will generate income for government but won't help them if they get sick.

Sen. Reid now says he plans to push the DREAM Act amnesty bill perhaps after November elections during the lame duck session.

He and other supporters of the DREAM Act amnesty claim it will benefit only a small portion of illegal aliens. Well 2.1 million illegal aliens between 18-35 doesn't seem like a small number to me. And that's not even counting perhaps another million family members that the Dream Act will allow them to sponsor!
