Why not? republicans want big government sticking its nose into peoples private lives. If the republicans want the government to have a say in who has a baby, the giovernment should have a say in paying for it.

well i'm all for the choice of a public plan, however i meant that it is such a ridiculous plan to have the state decide whether it would allow a public option to its citizens. This just means if your state doesn't want a public option, mainly because its legislators are bought by HMOs, then you don't get the choice of a public option. so its not left up to the people, or the federal gov, but the states.
