  • I agree that Josh Barnett is an excellent mma fighter who effectively uses catch wrestling. I was responding to the guy above me saying that "all bjj does is roll around and look like retarded monkeys..".

I'm not saying that catch wrestling isn't effective, but you can't deny that bjj is dominating most of mma with regards to ground game.

  • my last name is barnett....

  • I really don't think anyone would tap to that in a mma fight. ....

  • In my case, I prefer Jiujitsu for my ground game, Wrestling for my clinch and Muay Thai for striking. You're pretty well rounded with that in your arsenal. Call it the phalanx of all mixes.

  • The first that came to my mind when I saw that pass: Wouldn't it be easier to just go for a kneebar? I just have to turn my hip in and I got it, right? also I think the kneebar is a way safer submission as i probably won't turn into a race (here it might be heel lock vs calf lock or something similar) and I don't have to deal with this pass (which I think might be difficult to pull of in a real match/fight)

  • Awesome move.

Sounds like something I would pour milk on and eat for breakfast.

  • Great instruction! Thank you!

  • Anything move with the word "crunch" should be effective.

  • @dhimitrisrusis Single leg or double leg takedown in a street fight is really common from there a calf crunch should be pretty easy.

  • but the calf crunch is just a pain submission right? doesn't he get a heel hook or ankle lock if he has your leg under his armpit there? which would get you into more trouble.

  • lol what about the other leg ?

It's not trolling but until u reach my knee, my other leg would be prob on your face.

    NOT TROLLING, just saying.
