speaking in tongues is for home use. cuz when you do it in church without an interpreter its useless unless your healing someone with divine prayers from god.
i still wanna speak in tongues but I'm not a veteran of the bible.

Acts2:5-12 IF you want to speak in tongues learn a foreign LANGUAGE, if you speak a foreign Language among those who don't speak it ONLY GOD UNDERSTANDS YOU,that simple .

Speaking in tongues does not edify no one cause people can't understand it, its gibberish. You edify through your word. When it says tongue it means language. If you can speak unknown languages, ie, unknown to your people, you can bring the gospel the people of that unkown tongue and edify them.
