"Jitterbug" Director: Hal Walker. Writers: Arthur Stander, Philip Sharp, Richard Powell. Joan gets a moving traffic violation and assumes that Brad, her husband, the judge, will go easy on her. He doesn't. The fine is $50.00, just the amount that Joan has been saving to buy a new dress. She tries to recoup the money by opening "Joanie's Diner" in her kitchen, selling an all-you-can-eat menu for a dollar. When that doesn't work, she fills in as a babysitter for a local teen, at fifty cents an hour! The boyfriend shows, and literally flings Joan into a wild jitterbug dance. Great boogie-woogie choral work here by the Roger Wagner Chorale. So fun to watch, and to listen to! The cool-cat jitterbugger is played by 20-year old Leon Tyler, who also can be seen as the snooty doorman of the Aquarium Society in the episode "Tropical Fish," also available for viewing on the JDC. Features Florence Ravenel, Teddy Heart, Phil Arnold, Rolfe Sedan, Peter Leeds, Robin Morse, Leon Tyler, and Janice Carroll.
