@satsujin22 you know, it brings a tear to my eye too and I am British. We cock a lot of things up but when it comes to healthcare, I feel pride. Everything else falls to crap but this one thing - we do well.

I live in the United States, and can assure you that after ten years of being here, i was laid off and i now see the other side of the coin. Its funny you do not realize how good England and the NHS really is until you dont live there anymore. Count your blessings. At this rate i might be back within a year.

@blastarrbollaxIII Is this factual or is it talk that gets a little over-exagerated..Please let us all know..

For a few quid out of my wages my National insurance pays for my well being..The people within the NHS are very very dedicated people and caring regardless of some individuals who slag it off..What a great video to post..

They were most likely understaffed and inundated with drunks. too many patients to staff ratio to be cared for properly. And why? Right wing cuts in funding, New Labour targets and selling off of NHS to private firms.

A man of 22 died in agony of dehydration after 3 days in a NHS teaching hospital.
Kane Gorny was so desperate for a drink that he rang Police to beg for their help.
They arrived on the ward to be told by doctors that everything was under control.
The next day his mother found him delirious and he Died within hours.
She said nurses had failed to give him vital drugs which controlled fluid levels in his body. 'He was totally dependent on the nurses to help him and they totally BETRAYED him.'

I training to be a nurse I hate it when people attack the NHS all the staff I walk with do all they can, I love working with people I love to bring a smile to there faces makes my life worth it

yes very true, the NHS was built on left wing ideals and unfortunately this last government was (and is) about as left wing as my right arse cheek.

Make sure you write to your representavies and help Obama get the healthcare bill passed!
this video brought a tear to my eye. i wish we had a system like the NHS in the U.S. This is spoken from a person who has spent time both insured and uninsured. Having ANY coverage, even if it's government run, is better than having NONE at all. Hats off to you British, know that there are people here that envy your system.
