Spoiler Alert!
Here's a little review of Super Paper Mario. I haven't finished it yet or anything, but I'm really enjoying it...EXCEPT for all the RPG-ing.

  • It should be a crime to skip the text of a Paper Mario game.

  • I hate this game it ruined the paper mario name

  • I think getting rid of the RPG elements was a bad decision. I miss badges!

  • I like to read in RPG's. I don't like how they have things acted out now in a lot of RPG's.

  • I always enjoy reading text in RPG's paper Mario especial, because of the art style they use in paper mario, and the text box, witch i am reading, not listening to, it kinda makes it feel like a motion-manga.

  • I just had to assume what was going on in Brawl. It wasn't too great of a story mode in my opinion. And the SILENT PROTAGONIST as you call it is the one thing about Nintendo that I don't like. ESPECIALLY in games with a lot of text like Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. Having to read this game out loud to my niece made my throat SO dry and worn out...not to mention my eyes.

  • Your strange, It doesn't take an middle schooler to find out whats up in those cut scenes.

Everybody and everything is pretty expressive. And Nintendo silent protagonist is a trad mark for Nintendo games anyway.

  • Well that's the same as mute to me. Super Smash Bros. Brawl would have been so much better if the characters all spoke out loud in the Subspace Emissary mode. But NO....They expect everyone to know what the heck is going on just by watching the characters interact. I can't count how many times I was asking myself..."WHAT'S GOING ON"?

  • Well they are not mute, they can make sounds and say stuff. they just don't say sentences.

    Silent Protagonist not mute.

  • I don't mind RPG's with a lot of text to read, but I do wish they'd start making the games speak out loud. It gets tiresome reading a lot when I know they could have easily made it talk out loud. Nintendo seems famous for making mute characters in games. But I still love Nintendo. I'm just stating a fact.
