Bush fires in Rockhampton

Just at the end of the video the wind changed and the fire started coming towards us, I didn't get a photo of it but it was scary- it made think twice about staying.

i remember mum and dad actually left us to go to black water for the weekend away cause dad worked at the mines i didnt have a car and had 2 yound kids with me it was so scary, we had like 10 litters of water in the freezer in case we lost any power and then the fire was like 2 blocks away from us before they had it in control

We saw the house that was destroyed at Koongal go up in flames.

It was very scary, it took thirty seconds to get up a hill about a hundred metres tall.

We were about five kilometres away and the ash was falling over us!
