@syg068 yup always my fear that, however this is why when installed you must conform to the British Standard 7939:1999 & notify the necessary authorities of the installation. also a must is signs in windows and doors for the fire service and police to know it might not be a fire.

@harrihealey02 it took 2 seconds to fill my living room to the point i couldnt see. no use for the home entertainment, still there great fun to play with

@mrmattandmrchay this is true also normal disco foggers use light density where these units use medium/heavy density liquid.
other problem is to find out what heat range the unit runs & what temperature the smoke liquid is capable of in safe usage.
i have tested my smokecloak unit outside however i got someone talking and it was a very windy day, however i still had impressive results and will do another test & do the camera work myself. after which i will tag to this video

Smoke was billowing out of Boots in Maidenhead High Street this morning after an alarm fault.
Firefighters were called to the store at about 6.40am but quickly realised the 'smoke cloak' was a false alarm.
They used a positive pressure ventilation fan to blow the smoke clear from the building.
I don't know if you have answered the question. but I'm thinking of buying a smoke protection, and was wondering how much power is used in standby to keep the heating system on

@sonorhenrik Hi. The manual shows...
Power consumption at 240 volts
SY1000 1.25 KVA quiescent 118 watts
SY2000 1.5 KVA 96 watts
SY4000 2.5 KVA 120 watts
SY8000 2.5 KVA 128 watts
The "SYxxxx" are the different models available. PM me your email and I'll send you the manual if you like?

@7863684 Hi. I don't work for Martin Smoke, this was just a unit that we took out of a large shop, so thought I would set it up.
To be honest, the main reason for this video was to sell the unit on ebay!

does the unit use standard smoke machine fluid or a special blend from smoke cloak.

Well, the manufacturer say's it's different, and ONLY to use fluid from Smoke Cloak.
Whether this fluid is much different from the normal smoke machines I don't know. I'd image it's all roughly same - you heat it up and it turns into smoke, but the smoke cloak fluid probably has different characteristics I guess - for example, it has to be safe to be used in Kitchens (food preparation), etc.
