  • This is a very common problem in so many cultures. My father's parents spoke fluent Hawaiian, but my dad and his siblings could not, with the exception of one out of 13 kids. What little I know, I try to teach my kids and to this day am learning more. It's very sad, but it's never too late to start and make a change.

  • at least they are in touch with their language; african americans have no clue where they're coming from and English is not our mother language.

  • @dalmeny New Zealand Māori also has many dialects but it is making a recovery

  • could it be cause the Cook Islands have many diferent dialec?.... And thats why most kids cant speak it?
