EVE Online Minmatar vs Amarr Faction Warfare (Sosala)

At 13:30GMT a Minmatar Recon fleet was ambushed by a strong Amarr fleet in Sosale. Although the majority of the fleet escaped, a Battlecruiser (mine :P) and 2 cruisers were lost to our old Amarr overlords. High Command decided the fall of three brothers and their crews must be avenged and signalled a call for arms. A Matari fleet formed up and travelled to bring bring retribution on the Amarrian zealots. They finally caught them in Sosala on the Kamela gate at 14:25GMT. A furious battle then ensued and many a brave warrior was entombed in molten metal as the screaming lasers of the Amarr engulfed ship after ship. Equally, the Matari cannons glowed as the rained down hellfire upon the once sleek Amarrian battlecraft. The battle has been recorded for the archives as a permanent memorial to those lost that day.

Let it be known - 15th August, 2009 - Two Minmatar Carriers and 1 Minmatar Dreadnaught were destroyed by Joint Task force of the Amarrian Fleet in Kourmonen (0.04)

Let is also be known I avoided that fight..... it was a total screw up of a plan by the FC's. I still don't know what they were hoping to achieve.... Good victory for you guys though.

@DarkWolfe117 You can fly whatever ship you want as long you have the skills for it. FW doesn't restrict what ships from what faction is allowed.

What it comes down to is: 1) is your fleet shield(Caldari/Minmatar) or armor(Gallente/Amarr)? and 2) what size ships does your fleet commander want?

Wait, isn't faction warfare supposed to be actual FACTIONS vs each other? If so, why are there Minmatar ships in the Amarr fleet, and i saw a Gallente ship or two in the Minmatar fleet.
