Greetings! One last recipe before we go. I was preparing these to give to the neighbors and figured what the heck, I'll share the recipe with you. these are super simple and delicious. Last year I made several batches for my mom to give to her co workers. One of them, who is a world traveler, said that he had never had a better scone, even in Ireland! that was a wonderful comment!

I hope you give these a try, if not for Christmas, than some other time. There has not seemed to be enough time to share everything that I wanted to in this series, but next year, I'll have a head start with the lists that I have already made.

As always happy eating and Merry Christmas!

  • My butter was at room temperature. I made your cookies before and had taken all butter out of fridge. Forgot it had to be cold for the scones. But the creamcheese was cold. Im so worried those wont come out! Also Noreen, how do i store them til christmas? Or did i make them too early now :(

  • @fullagrace78 No worries. They may not rise as high, but you'll be fine. As far as storage, put them in a freezer bag or a plastic container and stow them in the freezer till you want them. Thaw them on the counter at room temp. and you will be good to go! Merry Christmas! Noreen : )

  • Hi Noreen, these look great! What is crystal sugar? Can I get it anywhere?

  • @Rhino22 I get mine from dunkin donuts, but they wouldn't sell it to me the last time I asked. But, not to worry, go to walmart, near where they have the cake decorating items. You will find crystal sugar near where they have the cookie cutters and such. It is made by Wilton, comes in a 4 or 6 ounce bottle. You can also buy it in bulk onlne, if you search for crystal sugar, you will find it a bakery suppliers on the net. Good luck! Thanks for watching and commenting! Noreen

  • Help! You never mentioned at what temperature to bake it at! I eagerly await your response as my mouth won't stop watering!

  • @theprepperswife Hi! Thanks for the lovely comments. At 13:42 I mentioned that the oven was pre heated to 425 degrees. I had to watch to make sure that I said it. Sometimes I forget, and then I have to do an annotation. Thanks for keeping me on my toes! Noreen
