@elMenguSpanish Dude, no offense, but Spain ceased to be a Catholic State as soon as it entered the European Union. The EU has destroyed, demolished and singularly unmade all aspects created by the Generalissimo, Francisco Franco. And not just that, but it's also re-created much of the Anti-Catholicism that was born during the Spanish Civil War.

Como bien has dicho, el termino pais laico mantiene contentos a todos: constitucionalmente sin religion oficial, pero mayoritariamente catolico. Esta bien como esta, y por eso me parece que este video aparece de la nada para putear: si la religion prevalece, volceremos a los valores del siglo XVII, los mismos valores (extremo-religiosos) que hacen que haya tanto mal rollo en paises islamicos.

See? That's the problem. Christian, and more specifically Catholic religion boosted the development of the western civilized world in ALL aspects. History wouldn't have been the same without religion, in fact, it would've been utterly disastrous. It is common belief that religion is the source of all evil-doings but it is an unattachable positive part of the human mind. The first religious beliefs in humans have always been there, they comfort us through faith. No religion = no soul. Nuff said.

@Absterman1 Pues me parece que deberías empezar a distinguir hechos de la realidad. Por mucho que no te guste que España sea un país católico, y desde siempre, no significa que debas imponer tu verdad a la realidad. El de "país laico" es un recurso político de la Constitución para mantener contentos a todos, pero siento abrirte los ojos de esta manera: no es que España JAMÁS vaya a ser católica, es que ya lo es y lo lleva siendo desde siempre.

NEVER!!!! I don't mean Europe should be a catholic state (now, or in the future), I mean it should be aconfessional: not catholicism, not islamic, notHING at all. Religion is the biggest lie of all history, it allows corruption under the base of a "lack of morality if it weren't there". For those who think we sholud be catholic in order to fight "islamic terrorism", well, if islamic people want to create terrorist, it's their problem, not ours, nor any religion. @elMenguSpanish Si, pues por muy catolico que pueda ser, tu pais sigue siendo aconfesional. Palabra de ateo que España JAMAS sera un pais catolico por definicion. Esta muy bien como esta: "sin religion oficial, pero teniendo en cuenta los gustos de la poblacion y manteniendo relaciones con la Igl catolica por ello" (lo cual no deberia significar entregarles todo el dinero que les entregamos).
