I think Birmingham of 2007 for sure were probably the best L.A. City football team of all time. Numerous Div 1 players. They would have handled any team from previous years. They beat the CIF teams not to mention Long Beach Poly. Thank you Coach Ed Croson for an amazing run and giving those boys confidence in themselves. Thanks Noseguard59 for the posting.

The balance of power has changed, it was a wrap for all valley teams except for Sylmar in the 90's. Now in this day and age, anybody can beat anybody. People don't go to their home schools no more

Yes the balance of power has changed, I know that the earlier dorsey Teams from the 90's would have served Birmingham.
We happened to play against knox when he was a freshman in the 2004 City Championship game.

That's right...Shaw beat Taft and Starr after Taft beat them in first game of season (Shaw lost by 1pt). I remember Shaw's coach saying, "we'll be seeing you in playoffs"...we'll they did and they beat them. See clip of Taft coach Starr running all the way accross the field (near end of game) yelling and pointing finger at Shaw DB Tyquan Knox who he thought had interferred.
