Twelve hour train journey - from Kovalam (Trivandrum Station) to Malabar Cove (Kannur Station).

As a rule of thumb, you should never use a credit card in India. Trvellers cheques, rupees, and that's it. There are several places with good exchange rates right on the beach, don't use a card!

I was there in Feb/2007, I love it and the experience was magical. Just love south India. guys like everything else you gotta be really careful whereever you go, I must let you know that I actually had a great experience at the hotel because I drop my money and to my surprise the gentleman at the hotel came looking for me to return my 50.00 rupees.

manaltheeram is a famous hotel..why dont u contact embassy and blacklist them. I am from kerala..but now in USA. Please report it.
